Op. 06 Celtic Inventions Collection
The pieces comprising the Op. 06 Celtic Inventions collection were inspired by the music of âold worldâ harpers and traditional folk songs from Ireland and Scotland. The collection contains pieces arranged and scored to maintain a traditional “feel”. A solo flute part is supported by guitar accompaniment and a solo tuba fills out the bass line. My research for the Celtic Inventions collection was motivated by my interest in traditional folk music styles. These pieces feature an intimate atmosphere alternating between contemplative, inspirational, and exuberant moods. Piano scores, flute and tuba parts, and piano accompaniment MP3s are available for all pieces in the collection.
